Entry form help needed ASAP!

My 9 year old daughter is planning on attending her firsy poulrty show and I have questions about the entry form. She entered the county fair and did very well with her banties but I know a poultry show is a lot different. I hope she will not feel out of place with her birds, they are not hatchery stock but they did not win best of breed at the counbty fair either.

Here are the questions:
1. Is the age of a cock as of January 1 as it was in 4-H?
She has a faverolle rooster that was born in mid Decmeber, is that going to put him at a disadvantage?

2. How does AOV work?
Gabby has a blue & splash faverolle, can they be shown or should she just stick to her salmon?
She also has Pyncheons. The Mille fluer color is recognized but she also has porcelian which is not recognized. Can she show both?

It can compete with its own variety but can not place over a Standard recognised variety. She can show any variety. just may not place. Would still be lots of fun. Let us know how she does.
