It really doesn't make that much of a difference. Some feel like mornings when the crops are most empty is better, this way the medication is more readily absorbed(?).

I usually medicate in the mornings while everyone is still roosting, easier for me to go out and grab them off the roosts, but you do what ever time is most convenient for you.

It's best to worm them in the early morning. Chickens are starving in the mornings and so are the worms, that's when you feed them the wormer when the worms are at their weakest, it's more effective eliminating them.
