Equisect on chickens??

Hi,

I am new to BYC, and was wondering if anyone here used Equisect on their chickens. I am trying to stop gnats from eating my chickens. Three days ago I noticed gnats were biting them and was able to find some useful information on here on how to keep them off, but I want a better treatment. Everyday since I noticed the gnats sucking their blood I've rubbed sunscreen near their ears and exposed areas, and used vanilla candles and spray. It is a lot of work to do this everday. If you know about Equisect let me know what you think. Thank you.
