I'm not talking the genetics of whats underneath. I'm talking simple feather color and the columbian as in wyandottes is different that the light as in Sussex. Light sussex have white saddle feathers and columbian wyandotte saddle feathers are striped with black. I am trying to keep it simple.

The differences seen in the Columbian pattern between breeds is genetic, for instance the difference you highlighted between Columbian Wyandotte & Light Sussex is due to the Sussex being Wheaten eWh based and the Wyandotte being Brown eb based. The Sussex also have a white undercolour whereas the Wyandottes have a blue/grey undercolour.

"The what are the Faverolles that are White with Black spots then?"
No idea ,never seen one

Maybe different in the SA & US but here in Australia
Columbian -Wyandotte,Rock,Brahma,Leghorn,Pekin,Cochin

Light- Sussex
