You need to find a market for quail eating eggs...lol. We have 3 girl's after I sold out of the rest of them I gave the last 3 hatched to DD because she wanted to raise a few...guess that won't be happening!

We're going to pickle them for a guy at church though. Found out he loves them

Here are the odds. I had 7 out of 6 straight run Buff Orpingtons (plus the packing peanut) turn out ot be female. It does happen.

7 male 0 female - 1 in 128 or 0.8%
6 male 1 female - 7 in 128 or 5.5%
5 male 2 female - 21 in 128 or 16.4%
4 male 3 female - 35 in 128 or 27.3%
3 male 4 female - 35 in 128 or 27.3%
2 male 5 female - 21 in 128 or 16.4%
1 male 6 female - 7 in 128 or 5.5%

Okay, just book a trip to Vegas for a few days and brought myself 7 powerball tickets.

The quails are about 5-6 weeks old. All have speckled breast, no golden or brown chest males. At 3-4 weeks, there was one that was aggressive, chasing all the others around. I hope for it to be a male but so far all hope is lost. I am expecting eggs anytime now!
