ERRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! THey're all females!

You need to find a market for quail eating eggs...lol. We have 3 girl's after I sold out of the rest of them I gave the last 3 hatched to DD because she wanted to raise a few...guess that won't be happening!

Here are the odds. I had 7 out of 6 straight run Buff Orpingtons (plus the packing peanut) turn out ot be female. It does happen.

7 male 0 female - 1 in 128 or 0.8%
6 male 1 female - 7 in 128 or 5.5%
5 male 2 female - 21 in 128 or 16.4%
4 male 3 female - 35 in 128 or 27.3%
3 male 4 female - 35 in 128 or 27.3%
2 male 5 female - 21 in 128 or 16.4%
1 male 6 female - 7 in 128 or 5.5%
0 male 7 female - 1 in 128 or 0.8%

HEY WAIT A MINUTE! THESE NUMBERS ARE SKEWED! RIDGERUNNER IN YOUR CASE YOU DIDNT ADD THE MUTANT FACTOR! SINCE YOURS WERE HATCHED AT THE CHICK FACTORY AND NOT AT HOME (WE DONT GET PACKING PEANUTS THAT EAT CHICK STARTER AT HOME...) YOU HAVE TO ADD THE MUTANT FACTOR TO THIS EQUATION FOR IT TO ACCURATE FOR YOUR CASE. THAT WOULD BE THE MUTANT WALKIN THRU THE HATCHING AREA GRABBING CHICKS AND STUFFING THEM IN LIL BOXES AND SEALING THE BOX....

The quails are about 5-6 weeks old. All have speckled breast, no golden or brown chest males. At 3-4 weeks, there was one that was aggressive, chasing all the others around. I hope for it to be a male but so far all hope is lost. I am expecting eggs anytime now!
