Escape chickens

I’ve seen my chickens squeeze under fence that I thought was impossible. I was trying to get them to jump back over the fence with mealworms when they said “it’s easier to just pop under.” Lol

Yes I thought that’s what they were doing because I saw them searching the bottom fence line. So I reinforced the entire bottom with extra little step in stakes between my poles. Then the next day they were out again. So I did a little recon work and watched them slide through a hole I never would have found if I hadn’t been watching. They are resourceful when they want something.

The pullets will get scared and jump through a gap in the fence and then be perplexed on how they got there. I love watching the chickens explore and learn.

finally caught them in the act. They were not going over.... but through. Fixed the fence hole and all is right with the world again
