thanks alot

I know that they use callback cages with bobwhite. It is a one way cage with a male in it. The male calls and the other quail are attarcted

, not sure if it will work with button quail though

. It may come back for food when it gets hungry.

They are very good at camouflaging with the grass. I had one hiding right in front of me and I was looking for hours. You can put her mate in a cage and let him call her she may make a peep so you can locate her. I hope you find her!

Yeah, I had another indoor button quail hunt yesterday for about 20 minutes. I knew where the bird was, the problem was catching her, since there are so many good obstacles to hide under and run around, immovable obstacles like furniture.

Has anyone ever tried using a mouse/rat sized Hav-a-Hart live trap baited with mealworms or similar? I wonder if that would work to catch an escapee?
