I have been hearing about how farmers are adding Oregano to water to help keep their chickens healthy. I sell EO's so I have lots on hand and I'm wondering if anyone has had any experience adding Oregano EO (or any other oil) to their birds water. If you've tried it, I'd love to hear back from you! Thanks!

Oregano is great for chickens and I use so allot on my chickens when they are sick and I use them in substitute for herbs.
Are you using the Oregano Oil? If so, do you just add a few drops a day to their water?

Is this essential oil something a human could eat also?
I am not familiar with these type oils.
For some reason I thought they were just for smelling?

EO's are not made for human consumption. The FDA warns about this all the time some companies selling have gotten into a lot of trouble for telling ppl they are. Do not feed them to your chickens it is not safe.
