Esteban has crowed!! Also any ideas about adding chicks to flock?

my 19 week old silver laced cochin has finally crowed I went out in the morning to let them free range and when he did it i just laughed. Now everyone in my family believes me. He is also starting to try and mate with the hens, they just run away because they dont no what is happening. This made me worry because now that he has been so much more aggressive towards the hens what about 9 week old chicks half his size? Any ideas? thanks.
