I know this information is somewhere already, BUT. I search several different ways and could not find the answer and frankly I’m just to lazy to read hundreds of posts. Already read a couple of dozen and didn’t find the answer. At what age do Easter Eggers start laying?

Mine started at around 24-25 weeks. From the time they started laying, they were laying about 5 eggs a week, but lately all of them, including the EEs have slowed production a good bit.

Thanks! Our's are about 16 weeks so we'll start looking for eggs in another month or so. Was just wondering when we should start looking.

Between 24 and 30 weeks... and I had and EE named Ester once....

I have 2 EEs. One started laying at ~23 weeks, & the other one (who's now 26 weeks) is not laying YET

My EEs started laying around 21-23 weeks in the middle of a VERY cold winter last year. My Esther is a scissor-beak and is my most reliable, productive hen!

I have 3, and they are the most consistant layers! Almost an egg every day. Two lay blue eggs and one lays a green.

Our two hens are the same colors and the two front and center in the bottom picture. Not so much black in the darker one.

I have three EE's - the first one laid at 24.5 weeks old - the last one didn't lay until 32 weeks old. It just depends on the individual pullet/hen. My Wyandottes started at 21 weeks.
I have two green egg layers and one very light baby blue (the mostly white one in the foreground) .

Good luck with your girls- the EE's are certainly the characters in my little flock.

one of my ee's started laying last week at 21 weeks and is basically the only girl laying daily of the nine various breeds! She's on her fourth day in a row after one skip day. The other ee is now 22-23 weeks old and not started yet. These were from the same hatch date at MPC
