Estes Hatchery Made Good! UPDATE***CHICKS ARE HERE***

We've been very happy with Estes, used them this year and last, glad they're making it right for you.

We pick up our birds there and they have always treated DH great (I haven't gone), and treated me well on the phone. We have healthy, happy, good-lookin' chickens & guineas from them.

I have ordered black australorps that I was very happy with, and their Welsummers are some of the best around. My oldest son lives close enough to them to pick up his birds from their hatchery and he has told me "Dad, these are our kind of people". Coming from him was all the recommendation I needed.

Hi Old Roo.

I have a bunch of their Welsummer pullets that I got a week ago. They are doing very well. My understanding is that they got their Welsummer flock from a breeder who went out of business.

I also got 5 RIR pullets and 5 Araucanas. They look good also, but the Welsummers were what I really wanted.

You are going to be very happy with the egg color. All of the dark and/or speckled eggs are from my welsummers.

I have always loved the speckled ones more than the really dark ones...
