Estes Hatchery - what does "Will confirm ship date" mean?

I'm thinking about placing an order with Estes Hatchery because they can combine my chicks and ducklings (

) in an order, but the ducks only have the "will confirm ship date" option, and I don't know what that means exactly. Does that mean that you're deciding after you place the order, or that they will email/contact you and ask when you want your birds, or does it mean they'll try to put you in a hatch as soon as possible and then ask you to make sure that one will work for you? Or something else?

I would assume they would tell you when your birds would be first available for shipping then you would confirm that but I'm not for sure because I've never ordered from there

Thanks - I'm thinking that's maybe what it is. I should probably call them anyway and ask if they'll still have the ducklings in May.

Anyone else ordered from them before? :)
