First sorry about the pic. Its not the best I'm doing all of this from a blackberry.
Is my bramha molting? She also has feathers missing on her rump and a couple around her neck.
None of the other hens are missing any. I have no roo and I haven't seen any pecking from the others.
I've checked for mites, they aren't none. We even sprayed sevin this weekend. We did the coop/run and the hens.
I didn't do her I was afraid it would burn her if she at any raw spots.
So please let the advice flow. Thanks***

do you have a rooster or a few roosters?

it looks like she is a roosters fave gal...

That's weird, there don't seem to be a lot of broken feather shafts on her, but I've never seen one molt like that either. Is the the lowest hen in the pecking order?

The others might be pecking her on the roost at night. Is she getting enough food? I'd give her lots of extra protein, like cooked egg, and see if it helps them grow back.

I just find it strange that's it on her belly and on the inside of her leg. She gets plenty of fish, fresh veggies/fruits, and boiled eggs. I started pulling some of my pepper bushes up and throwing them to the girls. Could the heat be the cause? Its been upper 90's low 100's with no rain. I mean really hot. I spray them down with the hose a few times a day and I put a roasting pan in the run filled with water so they would have something to stand in to help with the heat.

We have a similar situation with a Rhode Island Red. She is going bald. She looks horrible. I have also looked for mites but she has none.

We have 4 other chickens who all look good, except for one who is missing her tail feathers. This started last year and is just getting worse.

The Rhode Island Red is not at the bottom of the pecking order, from what I can observe she is some where in the middle. I should also note that we don't have a rooster.

I am thinking about this winter... and if she doesnt get feathers by then she probbably wont make it.

I thought she might have been a few weeks ago but she wasn't. All 5 hens lay their eggs in a hole in the ground. Her egg laying hasn't changed. She still gives me eggs everyday. But her eggs a smaller than the others. The guy we got them from said she has always layed little eggs.
