Hey Frank
I have no experience with ducks but I would like to share something.
I had a much loved dog who suffered from epilepsy from the age of 3 through to 13. It was reasonably well controlled with medication but she still had break through seizures.
Sadly, in the end, as she got older and it became more uncontrollable, I had to let her go on Christmas Day.
What I am trying to build up to here is that for a while, leading up to that day, I tossed up whether I should wait longer and did. However, I knew on that day that it was time and so did she.
It is hard to explain, but if you have doubt about the decision, it may be because you can see that she is not quite ready to go. I believe if it is the right decision there will be no doubt. I agree with Amiga, talk to your duck about it.
My thoughts are with you.
