I'm new to the backyard chicken lifestyle. I have an 8 week old Golden Laced Wyandotte that I suspect may be a cockerel I know it may be too soon to tell but here is a picture of her. Would appreciate input from those with more experience. I know it's not the best photo for reference. Thanks.

That much comb at this age sure looks male. A better comb shot and a pic of the bird standing naturally in profile would confirm.

I have a SLW as well and she looks like yours that's a big reason I'm suspicious.

OK. Now that we have established my Golden Wyandotte is a Rooster...here is a picture of my Silver Wyandotte bought at the same time. Since the photo was taken, her wattles have become slightly more pronounced. She does not have the noticeable saddle feathers yet like the Golden does and she is much more timid. The Golden is already pretty much a bully.
