The pattern is really super-simple, though it really looks complicated. See how it's put together? I admit, I love the use of black in a quilt, especially with jewel tones. Makes everything just zing!

Black, for sure! I use so much black that I had to buy a roll of black batting. I love it. The pattern you chose is wonderful! I can hardly wait to see it all done up!

I just love black in a quilt! I need to find some black fabric somewhere. Maybe my DH will take me to the Hobby Lobby about an hour away in Cleveland, TN, or maybe I can find some on sale at the quilt shop in town. The best one went out of business, darn it! No actual fabric stores here, just quilt shops with their higher priced fabrics, and Walmart with almost no selection.

Kathy, I loved the black batting you put in the Crayola quilt! I'll have to get some for future projects. Thanks again for that.

Hi, i'm new to this topic but i am a true quilt lover, the black gets my vote hands down, especially with the asian themed fabrics, as black is a prominent color in their culture. Plus the beauty of light coming thru a stained glass window is unmistakeable

I think you can buy stuff from JoAnn's online. Our local one has tons of quilting fabric. You might try there.
