Eureka! Perfect Quilt Block for Asian Inspired Fabric! (pic post 46)

Kathy, you're going to see a bunch of your fabric in there, I think. The blocks are 16" ones and I had to quit. My back is screaming! LOL. I did get lots done, will pick it up tomorrow. My broody hatched her babies, so I've been dividing my time between the broody pen and the quilt, with some breaks to check into BYC.

Oh Cyn, er, I mean Your Royal Henliness (I bok in your presence), those pics are great!! Thanks for taking them. Can't wait for the next ones.

I love seeing different colors of fabric come together like that. Each is so different, and so pretty.

Continued to work on it today. I think I have all the fabric cut out for nine 16" blocks. I made about 72 half-square triangles the easy way, by facing two strips face to face, cutting a 4 7/8" square, drawing a line across the diagonal, then sewing 1/4" out on both sides of that diagonal line, then cutting them apart down the diagonal. I'm not 100% satisfied with the center block fabric, even though it is Moda brand, but I went to the only quilt shop in town and tried to find something, but I just can't pay almost $10/yd for fabric, no matter how nice it is, even if I could find one I liked better. Oh, well. Here it is. It will come to life when the blocks come together and form secondary patterns.
