I think someone might have laid a Basque egg today! There were TWO brown eggs this afternoon. Although I suppose it is possible that I have two olive eggers that lay a brown egg. Are the Basque eggs always shiny? This one has just a hint of shine, not much. I suppose I won't find out until this weekend when I am around to investigate.

Congrats on your firs egg. One of mine has been laying for a week, from the Easter Hatch like yours. I might have two of my three laying--I got one with a lot of bloom a couple of days ago.

Ha! You are a freak !

It does have a lot of bloom. They are from the Easter hatch....23 1/2 weeks, I think. I do hope it is a Basque egg, especially because I want my olive-egger to lay something a little more unusual!
I suspect it might be from the smallest, odd pullet, since she was sitting on and off all weekend.

My Daughters love anime. This one is Korean translated to English and there is a Korean Language version. I bet the chickens would really love the Korean language version!
