The chick looks at least part basque. Likely crossed with something though.

It is hard to tell but usually the yellow ones are boys. If the chick is crossed though, you will likely need to wait until 6 to 8 weeks old to see comb and wattle size and color.

Alright guys, I got this lady(?) from a disorganized breeder, and she's supposed to be a Basque. What do you all think? She's starting to get some grey/lavender shoulder feathers coming in. Also, what in the world is going on with her wing feathers???

Well I think way to young to tell if it's a (her) yet or even if it's an EO. It does seem have beak/head shape of one. In regards to the wings, it almost looks like what ducks and geese called "Angel Wing" not as common in chicken though??

I would say too young to tell yet if it's a (she). It does seem have beak/head shape of an EO though. In regards to the wings it almost looks like "Angel Wing" but is more common in ducks and geese??

It's just the feathers, though, the wing itself is not twisted or deformed.

That's DEFINITELY a possibility. This breeder has a ton of lavender Ams and Orps, and frizzle/sizzles running around.
