Lagunita, what a dear little dude! I love their bubblegum pink combs and wattles at that age!

They are such perky little fellas. By the way he is sitting, he feels like he has every right to be there! That's what I noticed about these when I first got them, they seem to think they have every right to interact with you almost as a equal....

I hope you get another chance soon Cydney!

Man I wish I had that roo on the left! He would be perfect for what I'm working on.

Skyline, this comment of yours has been sticking in my head, and I can't contain my curiosity any more. What are you working on, and what do you like about this guy? Although I know that the boys are supposed to be buff barred with just a bit of the red and black, I do think the stronger coloring can also be striking. How does it figure into your project, if you don't mind sharing?

BooYa! Nice pics thatbloke. You've got some handsome specimens; that speckled one is gorgeous.

Funny how these guys hold their tails; even as chicks they tend to keep 'em down. Worried me forever that it was a sign of illness, but looks like it's common. Anybody else notice that? (or perhaps I'm late to the party and it was already mentioned.)

Mine seem to drop their tails as they get colder. I use that as a gauge for when they've had enough outside time.

The buff pullet in pic #2 is the spitting image of one of mine... she holds her tail higher than the others, and higher than the 35deg
Spanish standard for the hen.

Beautiful pics - calendar worthy!

Thanks for the photo compliments Maggiesdad !

...maybe their tales went up a few degrees as it was so warm ?
