My EO eggs from James are on Day 9. I removed 1 clear and 2 blood rings from the 15 leaving 12 - still great for shipped eggs, especially considering they spent a full 6 days traveling by "Priority" mail on a tour of the East Coast. I cannot stand to wait through the next 12 days!

I am even trying to take their hatch day off from work. We'll see.

Excellent! I'm sure if you take that day of work off they will hatch a day earlier or later. Haha

Hi! I am new to BYC, so if I make an error, please help direct me. I have 9 Marraduna Basque adolescents. I hatched them from eggs from Skyline Poultry. Great service and great eggs. I LOVE my Basques! They are everything that is reported, and more. My small flock is 16 weeks old and are beautiful, strong, intelligent, social and great fun. at least 5 of the 9 know their individual names and come running when that individual is called. The others usually follow but if I call for Clyde, I get Clyde. If I call for Peggy, I get Peggy. They are amazing! Most of them really want to be picked up and held. If I hold one for too long, the others start to chirp and stand on my feet, tap my knee and beg for attention. They are very affectionate. I am going to try to post pictures. If anyone is looking to add a new breed to their flock, consider this one!

Thanks for giving me the opportunity to thank SkyLine and to show off my favorites!

Clyde looks like he is going to be a good rooster for you. his feather coloring is pretty good and nice yellow legs. Your pullets look redder than most but that could just be the photo. My pullet is darker and redder than others that are SOP. I think they are all beautiful.

Now I'm going to need to come up with some names so they coming running. I might just name the pullets. :/

Is anyone selling chicks besides greenfire?
Does anyone have any of the chicks from greenfire? Are they worth the price?
I really don't do too well with hatching in the incubator and this year, I only have one broody hen who is doing a test on some marans/sussex crosses. We will know by new week how the broody is doing her job.

I love your pictures!

I have 13 of 15 looking good and developing. This is day 13 and hatch day is Friday the 6th, for the Mahonri's third annual Easter Hatch.

Marans are hatching today!
