Euskal Oiloa ( Basque Thread)

That's awesome news Tru! I was hoping you hadn't given up on them, having not heard from you in a while... Don't forget to post pics!

Nope, haven't given up on the Basques. Just have about a million things going on right now and with swaps gearing up, it's just nuts. Weather has been too wild. We've had lots of repairs to make and replace a heating system too. Head is still spinning.

Finally jumped on the Marraduna Basque band wagon. Picked up a lovely batch of a half dozen eggs from a really nice women name Jill. I'm hoping all eggs will hatch :)
Due to hatch April 8th!

I've been saving my Basque eggs for hatching this week, hoping to set next Saturday. I only have 2 hens, so I'll throw some other breeds in the incubator as well.

One of my Basque hens lays fairly large eggs, while the other lays a medium size. I still haven't figured out which hen is laying the bigger egg, but I plan to hatch some of each, since that is all I have to work with for now.

It is absolutely crazy to me that there is no interest in my area in the EOs. I have people from other parts of the country that contact me to get eggs and chicks, yet I cannot even sell my extra chicks or juvie pairs locally. Zero interest!

Does anyone have hatching eggs with good luck shipping to Texas?

I have hatching eggs available, NPIP-AI clean and I use the "Meeks Method" of open ended bubble wrap shipping. You can send a PM if you are interested. Website is listed below signature for pictures/more info.

Very few folks have ever heard of EOs... unless they were searching for birds with these attributes, how would they ever come across them?
