The one with the colorful feathers is very likely a pullet. The white one is probably a Cockerel but could be a white pullet. They are rare but some have been hatching.

Thanks! The white one is a Coronation Sussex, a bit older, also unsure roo/pullet.

I will change to pullet for the white one then! It has nice little pullet legs...

I really do not know but I am hoping for you --unless you want a cockerel?

I have hatched my first EO 4 weeks ago...I am wondering if anyone has an opinion whether it is male or female??

I believe this is a rooster. The comb is large for 4 weeks of age & there is a hint of pinking near the base of the comb. My guess.

That looks identical to one of mine, and I'm calling him a boy.

I read somewhere that the grey colouring is linked to being male, I was hoping it wasn't always true...
