I bet once matures he will be a good lookin roo. He already has nice coloured legs/beak. Comb looks good and feather colour

After reading much of this thread I am very excited to try this breed someday! I cant have LF right now due to having quite a small yard in the city, but I'd love to try them when I can. I am especially excited when I read about their personality, because I honestly have no use for a chicken that isnt extremely people oriented, because I dont butcher when the egg production goes down. (That is why I love banties! - d'uccles are my favorite.) What breed is their personality most like? I have had a lot of "tame" LF chicken breeds I wouldnt really consider that tame, or desire to have again (e.g. BO, wyandottes, LF cochins, New Hampshire reds, black sex links, etc). I do like sussex, brahmas, and some EEs and Australorps. So what breed are Basque hens most like, in personality?

Well QuoVadis I can tell you a lot of people that have EO's also have D'uccles. The EO's personalities are amazing, so if you ever get a large space for some LF they are well worth having!!

The pullets look like mine - lots of pinched tails! Is this a norm for this breed? I have other breeds that have better "tents" for tails.
