Thanks, indeed, I think she's a pretty girl, and sweet too (except for a few days I which she was a bit of a bully to a new Appenzeller Spitzhauben chick, for which she spent 2.5 days in bully jail. Thankfully, she's all good now.)

They can be bullies to newbies, I find slow introductions work best and even better if you have a rooster in the pen. He will help keep the peace.

I do have a Faverolles cockerel in there, but he's no use. He's about 2 weeks younger than the EO, but almost the same size and heavier, but he definitely has a small chicken brain and is the chickenest chicken sh*t chicken of all. He's even more chicken than my fav pullet, who is one of my youngest chicks. He's also a drama queen, hence he's named RuPaul. If he doesn't behave or gets too loud as he gets older, his name will be "Dinner."

I didn't make any headway with my birds, but have my fingers crossed for next season.

Same here MD I had a very disappointing year. Out of all my hatches only kept 4 pullets and one cockerel.

Higher hopes for next year..............
