I really like the mille fleur (sp) pattern on some of the birds. Is anyone separating them out and breeding different colors.
How are the combs holding up this winter ??

I think it is a duty - no, an obligation! - for you to hatch out more chicks =D Hi sebastepol, would love to see the birds at one of your shows over thereI do too but haven't noticed any so far in my little flock. I wonder if that gives me license to hatch out some more...![]()
I think in a year or two we will have the base to most of the varieties of EOs if you guys in Canada are working on the Gorria and Marraduna. I would like to work on the Marraduna, Beltza, and Zilarra. Beltza will probably be the hardest for me though.
That is great to hear YH, I have no idea how you do that, but we have had some pretty dark birds up here. I love Belza chickens! I have Black Penedesencas and Sumatras! I have a feeling Llodiana may be a possibility at some point. I think every Canadian hatched a "Blondie" like mine last year! I have the lightest brown roo too from my Blondie.
Oh and newsflash, we know how to pronounce Euskal Oiloa! It's on the EO forum under "Interview with a breeder of Euskal Oiloa Llodiana" there's a link to a radio show and you can hear it. It's oo-skal oy-you-a all said quick like 5 syllables.![]()
