Just went out and did a count, I have only 4 pullets and 2 cockerels with yellow legs, they are nice lemony yellow, but not orangey, is that okay? The rest are all white...sigh

Reread what James wrote: As far as to Cheryls question I used a couple non yellow legged Roos to yellow legged females because they looked the best in body.


I've got an all white roo with white legs that I'm keeping so I can play around with his coloring, per James & Claire's suggestions. Think outside the box a little bit; obviously these guys aren't perfect (yet!) and I would think that it's not that different than working with the Mille Fleur Leghorns. First you build the barn, then you paint it but also don't throw the baby out with the bathwater.
