Confirmed? Will Greenfire chime in?I believe Greenfire will be importing these in the near future. Interesting anyway.
They lay a dark brown egg. Similar to a #4 Marans.

Good morning, Sherrie! Do you have pics of your boys with white legs? I wouldn't automatically rule them out because leg color should be pretty easy to correct in future breedings. I wouldn't hesitate to use them if they have good type and other desirable qualities, especially if your hens have yellow legs.I got 9 from the Easter Day hatch. 6 roos and 3 hens. I hatched them (well, incubator) and they were with a friends general flock till I moved and got my pen together. As of Wednesday they are finally home! Well, 2 of the roos and the hens anyway. The other roos are white legged and being sent to freezer camp soon.
I'm just trying to decide which yellow legged to keep. The biggest, beefiest one (who is also the one who sticks close to the girls) has a wonkie comb. The other is smaller, less protective and a perfect comb. Still a really nice bird.
I don't even know if they were laying yet, they were with so many birds. No eggs here so far but then it's only been a few days and they might be stressed from the move. They are just over 6 months.

These are amazing birds. They tolerate the heat so well. They just sailed through our horrid summer
I processed my first extra cockerels (ever) last weekend. I was pretty sad about it, but I finally decided it just made sense. I processed 1 Basque & 3 Wyandottes. The Basque was the smallest of all my boys and dressed out at 3lbs 5 oz. (not including liver, heart, gizzard & neck). The Wyandottes dressed between 3lbs 8 oz & 3lbs 10 oz. I was surprised there was so little difference because the Basque looked SO much smaller!I got 9 from the Easter Day hatch. 6 roos and 3 hens.
