Euthanizing 2.5 week old chick

I know I'm a little late to be useful but I recently read about using starter fluid on a cloth in an airtight container to make the bird pass peacefully. Basically they put some paper towels in a tupperware, put the chick in, then more paper towels, then sprayed in ether, and put the lid on. I haven't done it myself yet but they swore it was peaceful with none of the flapping.
