My Brother-in-Law has decided that he doesn't want any roosters, so I need to sell my Black Langshan rooster (just turned 1yo last week), in order to focus on the Blue Australorps I've fallen in love with.

I want to sell him rather than give him away because he's such a good-tempered, mild-mannered, well-behaved fellow that I think he deserves better than a crockpot. But in order to set a fair price for him I need to have some idea of how he measures up as a Langhan. Of course he's a hatchery bird, but how good a hatchery bird?

I don't have his precise height and weight, but he's knee-high on my 6-foot son.

He is very good for a hatchery bird. He has good type with a fairly u shaped back and good height. Would he win a first at a show? Not if he had any competition, but he’s still pretty nice. If you hadn’t told me he was a hatchery bird I would have thought he was from a breeder.
I don’t know what to recommend price wise.

Thank you.
