Thank you! He/she is very dominant over everyone including the older girls… and is extremely friendly with me! If that means anything?? And I assume a walnut comb is indicative of a boy?10 weeks is too soon to know for sure. I do believe that is the start of a walnut comb though. The next couple of weeks will tell more. Usually it's around 4 months until positive IDs on silkies' sex can be made, but I've gone way longer than that and been surprised.
So pretty though, regardless of what sex it is!
Walnut combs are simply combs with both rose and pea type genetics.Thank you! He/she is very dominant over everyone including the older girls… and is extremely friendly with me! If that means anything?? And I assume a walnut comb is indicative of a boy?
I will be oh so sad if this is a boy… I don’t keep roosters… but because of how pretty and friendly he/she is I might keep![]()
Okay, thank you… I thought walnut combs were a type but the way she said it made me wonderWalnut combs are simply combs with both rose and pea type genetics.View attachment 4204005the one gold on the right inside the tire, Shan, has a walnut comb. She's a Hamburg x Brahma. The one in the middle, Belladonna, is likely her mother.

My sisters and my nieces came to visit with my mom today before they go back to college/NY… and I did a show and tell with many of the birds! Of course it was Snickers for the winView attachment 4204377
He got his name because he's the fastest bird I have....including his offspring....
We visited a "living homestead" last summer with my brother's family. There were chickens in the coop....the "furry" chickens had the kids campaigning for chickens at home.
