10 weeks is too soon to know for sure. I do believe that is the start of a walnut comb though. The next couple of weeks will tell more. Usually it's around 4 months until positive IDs on silkies' sex can be made, but I've gone way longer than that and been surprised.

So pretty though, regardless of what sex it is!
Thank you! He/she is very dominant over everyone including the older girls… and is extremely friendly with me! If that means anything?? And I assume a walnut comb is indicative of a boy?😬
I will be oh so sad if this is a boy… I don’t keep roosters… but because of how pretty and friendly he/she is I might keep 😱

Walnut combs are simply combs with both rose and pea type genetics.

the one gold on the right inside the tire, Shan, has a walnut comb. She's a Hamburg x Brahma. The one in the middle, Belladonna, is likely her mother.
