Granny's gone and done it again

When I hear what you dear, brave ladies are going through (and have gone through) with your DHs, it ... well, it really touches my heart. And it makes me grateful, as well. As my Calvin was in his final months, weeks and days with leukemia, his mind remained clear to the end. To watch your loved one, who has been your strength and your rock for so many years, become more and more dependent on you... must be so hard in some ways. I hope, if I am ever in your shoes... if my DH ever needs me as yours need you now, that I will be as strong, as loving, as patient as all of you. You all are amazing. God bless you all. We see you, we really do. ❤️🙏❤️
:hugs to all of you.
Thank you

You need the rain Blue? Farmers this year here are hurting because we got so much rain in spring then nothing come summer
Yes, it was the same here. For weeks DH could not mow bc it would not stop raining. Then he could not bc of the dreadful heat! Now he has mowed and the grass has all turned brown. We could definitely use a sprinkle.

Things are dry upstate also, @BigBlueHen53. Small cracks are starting in the ground and things are looking dry. Driving to Liberty last week without feeling rushed we got a chance to look at the scenery and the corn and beans look fabulous. Hopefully there is enough ground water from all the rain we had to sustain the plants to harvest.

Not getting much done at the moment. Think I'm still dragging from last month as I can't seem to get enough sleep. Did manage to get my PT scheduled for this week. She said I could come up to K'ville today. I said not today. I'm in a coma. Well at least close to being in one, lol.

But it is a beautiful late summer day here. 72 degrees right now and the lows are supposed to be in the 40s for a few nights. After hights in the upper 90s I can live with that.

@Nomadicus I sure would like to get that recipe from your wife, if she would share it please?:droolIt sounds delicious.

My favorite saying is Blessed be the Caregiver. They are assured a place in heaven.

My DH is steadily improving. He tires easily but considering what he went through in the last month I'd be worried if he wasn't tired. His appetite is coming back and frankly, I'm just so grateful to God and Jesus that he is still sitting beside me on the sofa. His PCP told him last week that he was worried about him. No crap, so was I!

I went through the caregiver designation with both my parents. It was just shy of 10 years. For me Caregivers are angels on earth...even though my halo may be a bit crooked.:wee
