Ever feel lonely when you dont have any PM's waiting for you?

Morning!

Did they communicate with you ahead of time as in "Is it ok if....."
or just "This is what's up...."

When it comes to school age kids, it should be asking permission, not making your plans for your kids without your input.

Good Morning to you too! I am on a roll today about this!

Exactly. Nope. Hubby had heard it from someone else and Colton came home telling us about it. I thought it would be considered more like a "field trip" and I would have to sign something. At the beginning of the year we sign the release so they can take them to the football games, but I think this is totally different. I don't care that he goes, it is just the principle of the whole situation. And I do wish the girls the best of luck. But...

chickenchick have a fabulous time:-)

Michelle,

I dont know what to think-I have never heard of that happening at our schools. I actually would be like you-it makes no sense to "make" other kids who want or have nothing to do with that sport to be made to participate. It should be on a volunteer basis as to who should and wanted to go. I would be upset too. I dont know how I would handle it or react but my gut right now is upset for you:-( hang in there and keep your cool...There has to be something that can be done and someone who hears your voice over this at the district??

I am frustrated, but Colton has asked me to please not say anything. So I guess I won't. This winter when the roads are really bad or it is subzero temp and they don't want to call off because of missing too much already I am going to have a cow though. They didn't have school yesterday because of I think a teachers workshop. Early out on Thursday for parent/teacher conferences, no school Friday for softball and no school Monday for who knows what reason.

Michelle! Mother Hen keep your cool...It seems schools nowadays are doing stupid things left and right. However, that said, I'll bet the kids are happy to be getting out of class! I hated school when I was young and missed any chance I got! Remember when you were that age? Eh??? I'm not a complete moron so I guess it didn't hurt me that bad..(Not A Word From Anyone!!) Anyway, I'm not making light of the situation. I just don't like seeing you get so wound up. Sit down...close your eyes and find your "happy place". Repeat after me....Ommmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

BTW...NY..Yes I am done spitting up..Hehehe I can't understand your DH. When my DH is cooking and the smell of garlic and onions fill the air, I want to throw him down right there on the kitchen floor. I always thought garlic should be an after shave!!!

HAHAHA Now Im spitting on the floor!!!!! I love Garlic-IDK what it is he will eat some but only if its light flavored...something is wrong with that skinny white boy!

I am trying to stay calm, I really am. And I know the kids don't really have a problem getting out of school. It is just that...oh I don't even know! It just sounds ridiculous to me! It seems like lately every time I turn around I am like "Are you kidding me?!" It is just blowing my mind! And why on earth would you even want to take 2 busloads of teen aged boys for an all day trip?

Anyway, if the girls lose and end up playing for 3rd place, the game doesn't start until 4:30 Friday afternoon. (I am assuming the boys will be footballing instead of cheerleading by then). There is a strong possibility our play by play guy will not get from one field to the other in time for kick off. Therefore, Destiny may have to do it! That should be really interesting!

The equipment will be with Tom, so not only will she have to call the game, she will have to do it by talking directly into her cell phone. I am really impressed with her willingness to do it and I think she will do a fine job. Last year she had to host our locker room show one night for a while and she interviewed those coaches just like she knew exactly what they were talking about! So, we may have to head down to St. Joe early to get things ready at the football field.

And I am just going to stay out of the whole garlic conversation!

Softball is playing there, but they are playing Bell HS I think. And if I paid more attention I could tell you it is by Fulton maybe? Football plays Bishop LeBlond HS. It is a private Catholic school that used to be an all girls school years ago. It is right off Fredrick Avenue. My Mom used to live in St. Joe many years ago. Before I came along. She was a secretary at the American Angus Association. Have you ever been to the Mental Hospital museum down there? It is a really cool and interesting place to see! And one of my favorite places ever to go is Krug Park. I could sit for hours and watch those ducks!
