Ever feel lonely when you dont have any PM's waiting for you?

Thanks. Hopefully they can get us in asap.

Have fun at the banquet!! Ours was potluck, how do they do yours? They provided punch and cake. You were to take your own plates and silverware too. I grabbed extra just in case. Hubby asked why. Well it is just what Moms do. Sure enough there were several boys there without parents that didn't know they were supposed to bring their own plate! So of course I said SEEE!!!!!!!!!

Our quarterback club provides a catered meal, usually ham and bbq brisket and baked potato. Freshman and sophomores bring a side dish and juniors and seniors bring a dessert. We also have to bring our own table service and I am like you, always bring extra because several will forget. I already know I have to provide for our sports director because he doesn't even try to remember anymore and there are always others. The coach feels the need to talk about each and every player, they give out awards and we watch the highlight DVD. I am convinced Coach had it on Friday so he can drag it out even longer than he usually does! But it usually really is a very nice banquet. I just haven't decided what I am going to take yet. I told the boys that they could take care of it, but I really didn't mean it! lol

I had a fair board meeting last night. It was the annual one where we elect officers and plan for next year. I really don't talk to too many on there. They have their "cliques" so I sit in the corner and keep quiet until one of the guys asks me something. I am apparently in charge of finding Tuesday night's entertainment, helping with the courtyard entertainment for the week and hubby (who is not even on the board) is in charge of the demolition derby. I called him and said "Andy said Christine said you are going to take over the demo derby for her this year." "oh really, and what did you tell them?" "I told Andy I would send Ronnie out to talk to you!"

They have been trying to get him to do it for years. He has helped Christine and she is going to push him right into taking it over. She leaves in Feb. 2011 for Iraq or Afghanistan and will miss her daughter's senior year in HS, get back (hopefully) in time for graduation. She wants to enjoy her next year at home. Hubby has a soft spot for that, so I think he will say yes!

Good Morning you two! I see you're both up and at it this morning! You two and your football! What are you going to do now that the seasons over?? Glad to here Raymond and Thunder are doing good. Where's NY? She back from Colorado yet? Chickenchick...did you get your deer processed? Our hunt starts tomorrow. I always fix them a big breakfast when they come in and am trying to think of something different this year. Maybe homemade cinnamon rolls with the Gump bread recipe? I've got to go home and clean tonight as one of them is showing up at midnight to hunt in the morning!

I still have college football every Saturday and NFL on Sundays, Monday and Thursday!

Yes, it is just like Christmas eve around here for the deer hunters! We don't hunt, but we are on standby to help at Tonna's house to process as the gang brings them in. Other than that, I think this is a quiet weekend for us. Maybe the boys will start building the back porch if the weather holds out. I have a ton of things to do around the house, so maybe I will get to watch some football tomorrow. I have missed the last 2 Saturdays, so I am having withdrawl!

NY should be back, but my guess is she is either resting or has been bombarded since she returned!

Good morning to you Charmed! Cinnamon rolls? What time?

We did get the deer done. That new grinder works so slick. Also hubby learned how to butterfly the back strap steaks this year, so we have some nice steaks in the freezer as well.

Michelle that is so funny that you "volunteered" your hubby! Well sort of! My X was famous for volunteering me for things even after we were divorced. We both held offices all the way through Raymonds Boy Scout "career"! There was also quite a few Car Club sponsored events I ended up cooking or cleaning at and I wasn't even in the darn club!!

He knows anytime I get into something, he will eventually get drug into it too! This was not my fault though. I volunteer to help Christine and he is always right there and doing enough to show he knows what he is doing, so he tag, he's it!

She will be around for questions, but she wants to be in it this year...and it will keep him out!!

I am sure Ronnie will talk him into it and help him also. It is just the rest of us are so busy with board work we can't free up to take care of too many other things, so we need outside help. I also told Ronnie a few weeks ago that he needs to tell hubby I need another baby goat next year so we will have a little one for the petting zoo!

Speaking of my spoiled little goats, 3 days in a row I get home and Miss Bella has her head stuck in the fence.

She sees me and makes it that much worse trying to get to me. I go into the pen, Destiny stands outside trying to push her in, the turkey comes over and starts pecking at her and Bailey just jumps right on top of her!

I need to get that fixed this weekend. It has been in the same area, you would think she would learn!

I read true crime books. Ann Rule is my favorite author. Hubby always teases me that it makes hm nervous that I read about all these murders, I tell him to just behave himself and he won't need to worry about it!!

My mom and mother in law reads those books. I have heard they are quite good, but it doesn't seem like I ever have time to finish a book. Destiny reads all the time, always has. She is writing a novel now. She found a place on the net that is November novel writing month or something. She has to have 50,000 words done by the 30th. She is doing pretty good, but still a little behind. She is doing her research and everything. I am so proud of her!

I have not read it yet, but she has asked for ideas for different things. Two people are reading it for her and thinks it is really good, so we will see. After she submits it, she gets a certificate and a copy of it just like it would go to press. I also think she has the chance to order copies for like $4 a book or something like that. She wanted to do one last year, but just couldn't get it started. This year she is rocking and rolling with it! It is called "19 and Crazy".
