Good Luck with your meeting. That sounds like it might be something to pursue. I hope it goes well.

Glad to hear you got some rest. I hope hubby treats you to a well deserved supper tonight!

You are sad because you were looking forward to it, not necessarily because its Valentines Day but because it is something different and special! I say keep the reservations and go anyway, and have tons of fun!!! We don't celebrate either because it is so close to our anniversary. We don't have $ or time for fancy vacations but we vowed to always spend a couple of days , just the two of us on our at least around our Anniversary. We have found a cozy little cabin retreat that we spend 2 days at every year. This year we have decided to make it 3. AND its coming up very soon

We cancelled. I wouldn't have done well anyway. The restaurant was badly hit by the floods so it's barely in working order anyway... and with the work I've been doing, I'm finding flood zones hard to bear these days. I guess when you work on something for 3 weeks and then you drive and you still see so much more work.. and nothing you've done has made a dent.. and then you have to have a fancy happy gorgeous dinner right in the middle of it all......it wasn't going to work - I knew it. I wasn't even entirely sure our reservation didn't float away, actually.

I have a coupon for a 5 course dessert dinner there anyway that I got for $40 (those restaurant type deals) so my boy and I will do that later this month. It has a year left on it.

Besides, we have Wicked to go to tonight!!!!

(Hahaha I just realized I sound like quite possibly the snootiest girl ever here - ew don't let mud touch me when I go to expensive restaurants)
