I agree, I've been lurking on this list for a year before I recently joined.. I could have been a flock master:confused:
But, at least I am here and am meeting some really cool people and I agree, Unless you send one first, you rarely get a PM anyway..lol

I am back from a relaxing lunch. I told hubby the school was looking for Colton and just as I suspected he immediately said "he is at vo-tech today taking a test!"

Thanks for mentioning it earlier honey! But all is good!

It is still foggy as can be here! I had a heck of a time getting to work and it hasn't gone away yet. It is also misty/drizzly so it makes for a long day. Otherwise, it is a pretty good day so far. My FIL is here working in my office putting up paneling around windows so it will be ready to paint. He gives Destiny a hard time so it is very entertaining.

What is for supper? I had a huge headache/upset stomach and laid down when I got home for work. Therefore, the boys got chicken nuggets and tater tots for supper. I figured I would make it up to them tonight. Besides, it is pay day so I need to do some grocery shopping anyway!

I have to tell you that you can't mention cooking stuff without coughing up a recipe. Thread rules, you know. Rosella jam? Apple habanero chutney? Oh yea...the sponge cake recipe.....

Oh sadly it's my husband's mother's rosella jam!! But I think she just makes it classically. She grows the rosellas herself though!

The sponge cake recipe came from my Bourke Street Bakery book. Just as classic.

The Habenero Apple Chutney was:

1kg sour apples, chopped and peeled (a little, I kept some peels on for personal preference)
-
15 Habeneros (this is REALLY SPICY - try 2 or 3 if you're a weakling)
1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
2 tbsp red wine vinegar
1 inch ginger piece
^^^blitz all that until smooth
-
2 cups red wine vinegar
2 fresh bay leaves
2 tsp salt
1 tsp peppercorns (I added this and went... wait... this is habenero...)

Simmer until chutney.

Put in sterlized jars.... makes about 1.1 litres. (because I had some stupid tiny portion left over)
