What a glorious day to be a live.....


What is every ones Easter plans. Me I am going to my sisters. I am taking Bessy and it will be the first time she has been there. they have a boxer and a lab. i am not worried about the lab Books, he is so laid back nothing bothers him. Now Ruby the boxer she is full of it. I hope they get used to each other, I would hate to have to put Bessy out in the kennel all weekend. I was going to board her, but my BIL is on pins and needles wanting to meet her.

anyway, we are going to have the family over at sis's. We will do Sunrise Service Sunday Morning, then get lunch prepared, and then the Easter Egg hunt. I have six great nieces and nephews that are just so much fun.

Robin--Looks like a wonderful weekend planned! I don't know what we will be doing. I know Des has to work both evenings 6-close and Colton will work some this weekend, but he never lets me know his schedule.

We have a chilly, rainy week so grilling is probably out of the question!

Awww, Tex! How precious! I have 12 almost 5 week olds in the brooder and I am so ready to kick them out! They are supposed to be pullets, but I have a sneaky suspicion that at least one barred rock and one buff orp is of the male gender. The BR comes after me every time I open the top and the BO tries to fly out! They have been troublemakers since day 1! I can't wait to see how they turn out as they grow older. I also just started a new hatch on Sunday. Poor planning on my part. Chicks should be due Mother's Day and ducks on Colton's graduation. I don't know what I was thinking!

what was I thinking?? Well, I KNOW what I was thinking .. you can't GET chicks in Texas right now .. so I was thinking that I would sell them .. but they are so dang CUTE! lol

I have GOT to sell them.

I now have TWO broodies in the coop too .. LOL. One of my little d'uccle hens was trying to cover a dozen little infertile eggs.. so I changed her nest and gave her 3 LF fertile eggs to sit on .. she was very grateful .. we'll see how she feels when the little(Big) monsters hatch.. lol
