Dang what a house. I have to be curious with Tex -- How do you cool and heat a place that big. If I am ever up that way would love to come visit.
Nat - How is your daughter doing?
Linda has chosen to have a lumpectomy. After the lumpectomy they are going to test the tissue and see if there really still cancer cells (something about the MRI reads a true negative, but can give false positives) her MRI showed positive. So they will test the tissue to see if the test was a false positive and all will be fine, if not and it shows cancer cells -- she will have the mastectomy. Praying for a false positive...

Good news! What kind are you wanting to get?
I am limited to 4. I definitely want 2 EEs because I want blue-green eggs
I'm thinking maybe Brahmas for the other two. We can get some really low temps here and I want something cold hardy.
I have had EEs in the past and enjoyed them but never Brahmas. I have the boring type now. 4 each of RIRs, BOs and BRs plus my 3 "New York" chickens from Nat! 15 all together and hopefully the first 10 are going to start laying soon although this hot hot weather, I am sure, is not inspiring them much!
