MOrning Michelle! I think Chickenchick is still packing with excitement and Charmed-got her tongue stuck to the living room window:)

Oh and gas here just went don 6 cents to 2.93$ ouch! we didnt get any snow here last night and I have to say it has been a really earily mild winter for us...spooky sorta..

Our snow is over for now, but we are expecting 6 inches, give or take, tomorrow again!

The Saturday morning guy lives about 45 minutes away and they got more snow than we did, couldn't make it in, so Destiny signed on at 5:30 this morning. I got my butt up and just killing time since my duties begin at 8 anyway. She has never done this shift before, but it sounds like she is doing pretty good so far. I am just so tired!

I am ready to pack too! I am going to start a "girl getaway" jar for my extra change! And I better get cracking on that weight loss thing if we are going somewhere I might have to wear a bathing suit! You guys gotta promise me while we are there, we are going to learn to hula dance!

Oh yeah, the hula will have to involve a few drinks! It seems like winter is never ever going to end, so I guess we will have that to dream about!

We got an outside wood furnace for the house this winter and it was a lifesaver! We already had one on our garage and we picked up the one for the house on Craigslist. Cutting the wood is hard work and we go through a bunch of it, but there is a mill less than 10 miles up the road that is run by Amish. Every Saturday people line up, the fill the bed of your truck full and it is only $15 dollars a load. On good weekends, Colton will go get 2-3 loads and then he cuts the rest of what we need when he has time. It has made a world of difference from our propane that never really did get things super warm in the house and it has cut down on our bill tremendously!

That is what Im talking about! we need one so bad adn I grew up with woodstoves and the work rots with cutting splitting and stacking but if it means our 6-700$ monthly electric bills go way way down Im in for that...besides there's nothing like getting a nice tan in the summer while slicing yourself up stacking wood! LOL besides I need to build my softball arm up again:)

We have never done wood, so it is a new experience for me. I have found that I enjoy going out and helping with the loading/unloading and stacking. Fortunately, we have access to a gas splitter, so that goes fairly fast. The stuff we get from the Amish doesn't even have to be split, it is furnace ready, but when Colton cuts down a tree, it turns into a family activity! That's why Destiny and I got our first pair of coveralls this winter, so we are ready to go help when they need us! We picked up the furnace pretty cheap because it was an indoor one, but the boys just insulated it and did whatever and turned it to an outdoor one. Hubby is always cold nowdays and keeps it so warm in the house that I slept in my shorts and t-shirt last night while it was snowing out! Now, to figure out how to cut down on that cooling bill...

I am trying very hard to stay awake, this morning came way too early! I am planning on putting on my pjs when I get home this afternoon, watch the snow fly and not get out until I am drug out Monday morning! Colton is going to a contest this morning for Vo-Tech, hoping he gets home before the weather sets in and nervous about how he will do. It is his first contest, but he's a smart boy and will do fine.

Did I tell you guys about his picture in the paper this week? There was an insert honoring the FFA with pics and such in it. I open it up and right at the top of the page showing student projects is my boy. He is leaning over in the coop, chasing a chicken with his tongue hanging out. If that isn't embarrassing enough, he is wearing his muck boots and shorts! Moments like that, make you proud to be a parent!

Of course, it didn't bother him at all. I promptly texted the ag teacher and told her I was going to need a copy of that pic for future use! She also told us at the breakfast yesterday morning that he sure is one biscuit making fool, so I will have to remember that the next time I fix them!

your son just sounds like the coolest good boy! Hell make a great dh someday! hmmm maybe we can have my 14 yrDD meet him in about 10 years when Im ready to take the umbilical cord off-but Raymond might get jealous:) ( chickenchick where are youuuu???)

Overalls huh? I love them they have to be loose on me though I had wedges!

Colton really has been a good boy. He's a 17 year old ding dong like most boys are that age, but I have been lucky. He gets good grades in school, works harder than any kid I know and does anything I ask of him, so I can't complain much. He tries to be a "bad boy" once in a while, but it doesn't usually work out and I end up just laughing at him. He has finally shown interest in girls, but I don't think he wants to be tied down (thank goodness). He texts several girls at a time and has to brag about it. He averages about 10,000 texts a month, but we have unlimited, he is proud of himself with this feat! If he ever does hook up with your daughter, she would have to move here though, he still is a momma's boy even though he won't admit it now!

Yes, 10,000 pretty consistent every month too! It amazes me, because he isn't super outgoing. I guess texting is his thing! I thought Destiny was a texting fool, but she only has about 2,000. Hubby and I do a couple hundred a month. We mostly get reception, but our phones are usually on vibrate when they get really annoying. We got rid of our home phone and it is nice not to have to answer the phone for everyone else! Colton will go into something automotive, it is in his blood. The kid can already rebuild transmissions and motors! He has been working on stuff since he could walk. Destiny's dream is to own her own radio station. She does a really good job on the air and I believe one day it just may happen!

Good morning sweeties! Boy you two are chatty this morning

I hope Colton has a good day and I am sure he will do great in the contest. What is it for? Bummer that Des had to work but cool that the 2 of you get to hang out today. Probably makes your day go by faster. We are getting a little snow here this morning but just a "skiff"!

So NY, Colton and Raymond are going to be fighting over that pretty little girl of yours!?!!

Michelle I am curious about your outside wood stove. Hubby mentioned something like that but of course I had never heard of it before. He said they were expensive but you said you converted an indoor one? How would you do that? We heat with propane as well and holy cow! That $900 bill hurts, our power bill is around $100-120 in the winter months but $40 or so in the summer.

10,000!!!!!!!!!!! Holy mother of noodles Batman! My fingers would fall off! I am sure you can tell by the way it takes me 20 minutes to text back to you that I am v-e-r-y s-l-o-w-!!!!!

I hope Charmed is having a safe trip to see her DD and also I hope Harry is eating his watermelon
