I may try to get more antibiotic from my vet when this runs out. There isn't much left and I am sure he is still battling the infection.

I agree about something obviously got ahold of it, but it sounds like you are doing all you can.

Bailey was fine Saturday, she and Bella spent most of the day grazing in the yard across the street. Yesterday morning they were playing and jumping around and when hubby went to let them out, she couldn't stand up. Almost acts like she is drunk and for a while she was panting. I gave her food and water to make sure she is eating and drinking. She was better in the afternoon, but not acting her peppy self. I called my crazy goat friend and she rattled a bunch of stuff off that it could be but wasn't much help. I convinced myself she looked and acted better this morning, but hubby told me at lunch she is still acting weird. So, I have no idea what to do with her.

Yep, old George has probably been plowed over by now, poor soul. He will be hard to find, but give it a shot!

There may be more infection under the scabs that needs to come out. Maybe if you pull off some of the scabs (sounds gross, I know) that will give it a chance to drain more and get rid of more infection.

Disclaimer: I am not a vet, but I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night! (those commercials used to crack me up!)

That was great!

I never thought about taking the scabs off.

However that really is a smart idea. I will do that as soon as I get off of here.

I am so sorry about Bailey. I don't know a darn thing about goats, or anything else for that matter! Hopefully she just had a little bug and is feeling fine by tomorrow.

Did you check the yard they were grazing in? Maybe there is something over there she got into. Is there certian plants that are toxic, like for chickens? Probably a silly suggestion but its all I got

Could she have gotten into some pesticides or something across the street? I just sprayed some weed killer at my house is what made me think of it.

Good Morning!

Bailey is about the same. She just acts like she is drunk, a little slow to get up and weaves some when she is up and occasionally pants. I don't know much about them either. But she is still eating and drinking and getting around.

So, I have poison ivy on the right side of my neck. It feels like it is a big huge abnormal something on my neck that itches like crazy. I had noticed it the last couple of days, but it really didn't bother me until last night. Now it is driving me crazy! I told hubby I was surprised no one mentioned it yesterday, but it was only about the size of a quarter. He told me it looks like I have a hickey! I said well no wonder no one said anything, they certainly wouldn't want to know where that came from!

Today the area is much larger and like I said, driving me crazy!

Then, I fell yesterday as I was leaving work. I had been sitting on my foot and went to get up and my foot and leg had gone to sleep. I went down, it seemed like slow motion and Destiny was standing there to see the whole thing. As I went down, I hit my upper right breast on the square corner of my desk, but I didn't spill my drink!! We had a good laugh and it took me a while to get up.

It didn't really start hurting until last night (about the time I really started itching on my neck) and I couldn't even roll over on my stomach without it being sore. This morning I got a good purple bruise going on that is only going to get worse. Good news is, my left side of my body seems pretty healthy!

So, how is everyone else doing today? How is the kitty?

I had to read that out loud to hubby because he wanted to know what was so darn funny!! Please don't be upset, but oh my goodness

Seriously though I hope you aren't in too much pain today. That must hurt so bad! Have you noticed the older we get the longer things hurt?

Mattie (kitty) is about the same. He isn't eating as much as I would like but he is eating. He fought his fluids and medicine this morning. I guess thats a good sign that he has some fight in him!

It's okay, we had a good laugh when it happened too! And everyone at work is entertained by me and sorry they missed it yesterday. Rochelle, my co-worker is always falling or in embarrassing situations, so she laughed until she almost peed herself this morning when I told her about it. When I told the dingy secretary yesterday all she said was "I wanna see that honking bruise in the morning!" It is almost where I can't show it and if it grows any more, I will have to keep part of it a secret! It didn't hurt too much when it first happened, but I am more sore this morning. I am also thinking I may have to go out and get some poison ivy lotion to try to dry my neck up some. Colton has it on his arms, but he gets it just by looking at it, it seems. I haven't had it since I was a teenager! I am old and falling apart! Might as well laugh about it.

We finally took my truck to get the tires put on and alignment done down to Chillicothe last night. It should be back in a few days. We are having the vo-tech students work on it, not sure if Colton will be one of them or not. While we were there, we stopped at Lowe's and got my new screen door. I got one that looks like it belongs on an old farm house, simple with a lot of screen and no glass or latch, just a hook and eye to put on the inside. Like Destiny said "we want one that slams!" I am hoping we can get it installed tonight or at least sometime soon. Thunder will love to lounge around in front of it!
