Ever feel lonely when you dont have any PM's waiting for you?

Living in a little log cabin would be a dream of mine! My best friend (and hubby's cousin) Tonna has a daughter, Cara, who is ordering one of those log cabin kits to build their house with. Her and her boyfriend live out in the country and they have been clearing brush to put it up. I can't wait to go visit when it is finished! Heck, we will probably help put it up! I wouldn't want anything fancy, even if I could afford it. Just something nice, cozy and lived in. Oh, and a loft would be a must! I told Cara I wanted to stay all night up in their loft! lol

Now, when Tonna and her husband decided to move out of town and to the country, they have some acreage not too far from us. They sold their house about 3 years ago, put up a garage on the property and lived in it until this summer. Nothing fancy, but paid for and very cozy. Her hubby got tired of not having his "man space" so now they have put up a prefab home and he has his garage back! But she would have been content to live there forever!

No kidding! In reality, I am just hoping to eventually get my house completely remodeled. It is such a slow process, seems like work and life in general always gets in the way! (and the money thing). Destiny and I spend hours on HGTV just dreaming and trying to find new things to try. Problem being, we aren't very creative. Which brings me to my question I have been meaning to ask...Does anyone sew? I used to some in high school but hated it. My Mom is a wonderful seamstress and I mentioned to her I would like to maybe try to pick it up again so she went out and bought me a sewing machine. I haven't picked it up yet and don't even know where to begin. Tonna and I are also thinking of maybe hand quilting? Several members of the family do a lot of machine quilting and we were thinking of trying it by hand. Like I need a new hobby to fill my time!

Oh Michelle, that's great! I have always wanted to quilt and have been saving scraps of fabric for years. I have yet to pick up a needle! I hope you get started. Maybe we could encourage each other!!

I actually started embroidering some quilt squares last winter and need to get them out again, but have no real idea how to go about hand quilting. Tonna seems to know a little from watching, but we have never done it ourselves. Destiny also has some old t-shirts I would like to make a quilt out of so she will have it. As far as the sewing machine, I have no idea what I will even make with it!

Good Morning my fave peeps!

How is everyone this morning? I overslept, but I am here and ready for the day! It is one day away from football Friday and our home opener! I am still staying optimistic and I think being on our own field will bring our boys around and to a victory!

Have a great day everyone!

If you guys are anything like us, the atmosphere at home is so electric! We really have a supportive community and dedicated fans and the stadium just roars when the boys come out! Good luck to your boys as well!

So, Orschelin's is having chick days. I have been trying to avoid it, but don't know how much longer I can hold out. We don't need any more chicks, especially with it getting colder. I really couldn't believe the price of guineas! Dang, I wish mine would hatch out a big bunch for me! That would get us on our way to NY or at least to charm's house! lol

Well, it sounds like you are all ready for football! I hope both of your teams do well!!

I am still fighting with Hewlett Packard. They want $259.00 to fix the comp now. I emailed the CEO to see if he would wave this fee since they knew the comp was faulty when they sold it to me. We'll see. Columbus took a chance.
Michelle, what kind of chicks do they have? Do you think you can stay away until it's over?

I think not........

That is crap to pay that much to fix something that is their fault to begin with. I would stay on them, don't let up. They will get tired of hearing from you and fix it to just get rid of you.

They didn't have as many as they did in the fall. I had to run in there to get cat food the other night and just glanced around. They just had some buffs, RIR, cornish x and a few others I can't remember. They had several guineas which are now $4.49 each. Luckily I already have my 5 and they would kill anything I put in the taj maguinea hall now, so that is out of the question. Thursdays are delivery day and to make things worse, the football team sells "bulldog cards" that give you different discounts to stores throughout the year and Orchelin's has been added this year for 10% any regular purchases. Great for anything else, but keep the temptation of the fuzzy butts away!! Sadly, everyone in there knows me and just eggs me on when I get in there!

Are we going to have to send you to "Fuzzy Butts Anonymous?"
