I feel like I'm doing a bait and switch on my husband today. DH initially reacts negatively to almost everything, so alot of times I don't disclose everything that I'm doing.. Not in a bad way, just because I don't want to deal with the initial reaction.

Re: the d'uccle chicks I'm going to pick up today from my friend.

I had 12 chicks in the brooder .. 6 LF and 6 d'uccle. They are 4 weeks old. So last night I took the LF chicks and moved them outside to a predator-proof cage fixed up just for them .. Then I cleaned the brooder and left the 6 d'uccles in there. Today I will pick up the other 6 and hope they get along in the brooder! I don't think DH will even notice that they aren't the same 12 chicks!

Why do I feel guilty .....

I think that will leave me with 4 little roosters to place. Millie Fluer and Golden Neck(?) (I didn't order Golden Neck, but think I got some anyway ...)

Then I'll have a nice little flock of d'uccles ..

It is with mine-I feel kinda bad due to the fact that before we had financial problems-the girls got pretty much whatever they wanted-not in a sppil rotten brat sense but if they wanted a pair of 50-75$ jeans I would get them if needed-now there's a limit and they have to get used to it. I explained financial things to them and when and if things get better we are staying on the thrifty end still-because I will not go back to how bad things got-they ok with that...now...

Morning ladies. Dd4 is still trying to make her chicken love her lol. Still see no progress on the house. Losing all hope, just want to cry...i feel a bad day coming on. I did my school shopping months ago lol.

Knowing that you've been there done that helps a lot. Wait until you see what me and my 3 daughters are living in.ill post pics later.. Small is not even the word and I boil water for hot baths. Water heater does no work
