I am not sure the chickens are really disappointed. They spent their free time trying to get back IN!!

Speaking of in-laws, gotta put my 2 cents in. Mine aren't as bad as most can be, but irritate me on occasion. They are just different. But, my hubby will jump if his dad asks for something and it drives me crazy! Doesn't matter what we have going on, if he wants something, hubby is there. And I don't mean, really NEEDS something, just wants it. Like for example, FIL had surgery last winter and while he was laid up and bored, decided he wanted a roof/canopy over his fish pond for shade to sit under in the spring. Last January, hubby and Colton were out there on a Sunday afternoon building this dumb thing for him. Not only did a cold front come through, it started freezing rain while they were out there! But since dad wanted it now, he did it. Had I asked for something like that he would have looked at me like I had 3 heads (among other things that would go through his mind). Oh please, don't get me started on family!!

I love my FIL but my DH does the same thing for his dad and always has-I have learned to just bite my tongue and let it go because his father is not in the greatest health and his dad has jumped for us a few times so I cant complin too much

We don't ask a whole lot from his parents. They are the type that, well, just different. They aren't horrible people, but a little goes a long way. When the kids were growing up, they never asked to see them. If we asked them to watch them, they would. But if we didn't, fine. On the other hand, my mom still can't get enough of them! They do come to birthday parties and ball games and have gotten better since the kids have gotten older, but just don't put out the effort to actually let the kids know they want to spend time with them. I guess I was just raised differently. His sister is a doozy also. She married a jerk and has basically fallen away from the family. She visits very infrequently and is like a robot to her husband. Another thing that drives me crazy! She has 2 boys, but we aren't close with them at all. When the first one was about a month old at Christmas time, his sister stepped out and MIL and I were watching the baby. He cried, so I took him to change him and she warmed up a bottle. Chad (sister's hubby) came into the room, grabbed the baby out of my hands and informed me it was not time for a diaper change and other nasty things to me (no one else heard him) and wouldn't let MIL feed him either. From that point on, I swore I would have nothing to do with them again! Those boys are like 10 & 7 now or something like that and really don't even know who we are. It makes me sad because I always looked forward to having nieces and nephews and I have to settle for everyone else's children instead!

So, on a lighter note, it is pleasantly odd that we are all 3 around the same age. (Can't remember if charmed revealed her age or not). Trust me girls, 40 came and went last month and didn't really bother me at all! It just means we are more seasoned!

I don't mind revealing my age, but now weight, that's a different story. This desk job really didn't do much for my already failing waist line!

Oh no! I love, love, love you gals but I am not revealing my weight! I WILL tell you how much I weighed when I graduated in 1988!! But that's it! (if I squint really hard when I look in the mirror I still look the same!!)

No kidding! I was a little chunky in high school too though (class of 1987!). I lost several pounds a few years ago, but had a slight setback, and haven't gotten really motivated again. I really, really need to work on that!! I am not incredibly large, but way bigger than I am comfortable with!
