My kids are never going to let me give them away. Sunshine will meet her babies mid week. Do you think she'll know they are hers?

Im telling you he smells so good-he is in his big pen and pool all day-so clean and sweet BEFORE he gets locked up in his oversized dog crate for the night-Now in the am -I would not do that but after he has been in the fresh air all day he's so good smelling-yes-I have flipped and need therapy!

How come the mom cant meet the babies now? She may have the motherly instinct and want to nuzzle and lead them? That would be great huh?

I am afraid of the Drake. He has been messing with the chickens lately. He tries to mate them, and he is SO big, I don't want him to squash them. I was going to take mommy out in the yard, away from the rest of the group and let her hang out with the babies for a while. If "summer" would actually come, it would be warm enough to keep them out in the sun longer. It was only in the low 70's today, too cool for new babies. I have a separate little blow up pool ready for them. Can't wait for swimming lessons. Oh, I think its too late for you to attend therapy

yes she will:-( I asked that question too-they only lay during seasons I was told.. Sell them while they are hot-Id go 25$ though-I would pay that much for 6-and send 1 extra "just incase"-do it do it do it

I did actually up it alittle from $16.00 to $20.00, and not because of anything other than the amount of bubble wrap and packaging needed. She is paying for feed for the month, thats great with me!! My Cayuga female has not laid an egg in months. She went through a molt and never started again. If she starts, there are possibilities of crested cayuga's, since Rex comes from crested lines. Hmmm. I just can't get her to lay

I totally understand-those eggs are big and easier to break! I was surprised at how big they were! it just sounded really cheap for those eggs-especially because of them being a 50-50 shot at being crested!

good mornig Michelle! Back to rain again today for us! how was your forth?

We had lots of rain Friday night, supposed to have cleared early Saturday morning, but we got another round Saturday afternoon. But it headed out in time for the dance and fireworks, so all was well! I settled for Smirnoff Ice Raspberry for the evening, but didn't drink much. Pretty well stuck with my mountain dew!

The dance was a better time than we thought it would be. It was a street dance my daughter DJed for the town celebration. We just left the family celebration to go do that, then came back for the rest of the evening. I was pretty slow moving yesterday though.

Friday night my mama cat gave birth to 4 kittens in my living room. She has since moved them to my bedroom. 3 black ones (she always has 2 in the litter) and 1 yellow one (again, usually has 2)! She isn't very creative in her colors!

My daughter wouldn't let me take them during the birthing process!

And then she swept them off to my bedroom and tucked them away. I did find where she was and held the little yellow one this morning, but I usually don't bother her much the first week or so, so she doesn't move them again on me. Besides, they really aren't that cute for a couple of weeks anyway! But, I will be posting pics eventually!

Good Morning everyone! Gosh! It took me 10 mins to catch up on all of the weekend stuff!

I hate that I don't have access to a computer on the weekends!

I had a great Bday yesterday! I got an MP3 player from my DH and a kingsize quilt from my DD.She works at Cracker Barrel and got it 80% off. (I tell you this becuz I am a garage sale - flea market bargain hunter and instead of letting people think I own something expensive, I brag on the bargain!) Anyway, I'm glad everyone had a safe and sound weekend. I lost a hen Friday nite. Something got into my chicken house under the chicken wire through the window. Poor babies, when I went to let them out Sat AM, they all just stood there looking at me. Wouldn't come out of the coop. So I went around through the door and saw the dead hen lying over by the window! We have coon traps set now and fixed the wire, so they are safe again. Poor Pee Pee's. People around me think I'm nuts when I stand outside and yell, "Here Pee Pee's" and my babies come a-running!
OK..I'm long winded this AM...Sorry, just catchin' up! I missed you guys!
