Congrats on the wedding Michelle! Thats fantastic and exciting news.

We are getting that snow right now that they promised! So I am in baking and cleaning mode. I don't know why but this kind of weather always does that to me. The eggs are boiled for deviled eggs for supper. The chicken bones are boiling in the pot, smells so good! I am planning on dumplings or homemade noodle soup for supper. I have some figs I stewed a few days ago so they wouldn't go bad. Now I trying to find a recipe to make them in to cookies. Any one have one handy?

I am glad to hear Colton is looking at this girl a little different now. He sounds like such an honorable young man. Raymond is still in the middle of his mess

. He was really sick after school last night and had to miss practise. He spent all evening in bed but made it to school today.

How much snow are you expecting? I know what you mean about the cooking. That is hubby's favorite part about winter is that the colder it gets, the more I cook!

After our "heavy rains" it is supposed to just keep getting colder. We may have snow here before too long!

Give Raymond a little more time. Once he thinks about it enough he will come to his senses. He is a smart kid and will figure it out. I think between the Ag teacher (who is only about 25 herself) and Luke, that made a big difference with Colton. Luke is usually pretty quiet and doesn't like drama, so I think he calmed him down quite a bit.

Glad to hear the boys are calming down alittle. Teenagers and drama....ain't it grand!!

I am sitting out in the garage selling again. I took a couple pics I will post so you can see but I will tell you now, the stuff you'll see is only about 1/4 of what I have already sold and still have in boxes to sell!! It's a nice day here today but I did see 90 percent chance of rain tomorrow so I probably won't open. I'll play that one by ear!

How exciting! I made my DH ask my daddy before I would marry him too. I almost married a real loser so after that I decided whoever I wanted to marry would have to pass by my DF first! That is so cool that Kip did that!

Chickenchick..I can smell your kitchen from here!!I will look in my recipes and see if I have anything for you. I have a cookie recipe that calls for prunes. I think you could substitute figs? I have never cooked with them myself. ( I am envying you again!!) But not the snow. I need to winterize my chicken house first!

Anyone heard from NY today?

I have to say in a way I don't mind it, snow is sort of a comfort thing to me. However around our house it is cussed becasue DH drives trucks in to oil leases that are tough to get in and out of when the conditions are perfect.

Raymond doesn't like drama either. We tried to explain that with a "girlfriend" there will be drama. I have to say though that it is not all the girl that is the drama. His guy friends are getting in on the action too!

The mother of this girl is a bit of a drama queen herself.

My DH always tells Raymond this You have to look at the Mom first, this is the type of woman she will probably grow up to be. Notice the way she treats people and look at the way she takes care of herself too. Of course being a man he is going to add the part about the looks!

Charmed, I am afraid you are right about tomorrow. You better just spend the day marking more stuff and getting it ready for another time! I am going to spend the evening packing and digging out the rain gear. Oh, and I am going to have a very rare treat. I am going to go to our local restaurant/bar and have Cara's first legal drink with her tonight! It has been so long since I have been out to do anything like that and it will probably just be a drink or 2 since I have the next 2 days pretty well packed with things to do. Had lunch with them today and we talked wedding. I am so excited for her and he really is a pretty neat guy.

I did pack plenty of warm clothes and lots and lots of rain gear. I have a feeling we will not be tailgating this evening also! It is also going to turn cooler, by Sunday morning we are supposed to be down to 30.

No, I didn't go for the drink. Colton drug home his football stuff to be washed about that time, so I sent hubby instead. So, I struggled to get mud out of his WHITE jersey and WHITE socks and hubby said they had a good time! I did finish packing and loading the van, so all I have to do is run home at noon, check on all the animals, change clothes and head to my sister's house to take off.

Colton said he is still talking to the girl.

But he said the boy hasn't bothered either one of them, so I guess that is a good sign. Like I said yesterday though, he just doesn't seem as into her as he was.

I sure hope Charmed has her row boat handy!! It sounds like I may need snow shoes by Sunday!

I am sorry you didn't get to go with them for the drink. Oh well you can do it another time.

Raymond is always bringing me t-shirts with food on them. Mom can you get this out??!!

He came home with Nacho cheese on his back! I didn't want to know how that got there!

I hope you have a great time this weekend whatever the weather decides to do. I didn't hear any thing about the GF ordeal yesterday, but tomorrow is the Home Coming dance so we will see how that goes!

I do hope Raymond's homecoming dance goes better than Colton's. He sat around the house and pouted and steamed about it. It was also the dance that got our star football player kicked off the team for alcohol. Our sports director asked Coach about a kicker this week. He said we are on like our 5th string and Butler will probably think we are kicking onside kicks all night!

Our 1st string was in that senseless wreck right before the season started. Marshall moved into his place, got himself kicked off. Brendon moved up from JV and messed up his leg so Garth gave it a shot last week (Marshall was injured anyway) and hurt his ankle! We start districts next Friday and we are all hoping just to make it through the rest of the season without too much more incident!

He told us last night the star of our team messed up his foot and is out for the season so we are pretty much done! We do have some other good players but Brandon seems to bring it out in the rest of them. Without him, who knows.
