Happy Anniversary!! I with ya, I would rather go to the farm store too! I don't really wear any jewelry. And for christmas, I am looking forward to a pair of muck boots! Hubby and son got them last year, it is my turn!

Sausage is mixed up and the casings still need to soak a bit. So I thought I would pop in real quick! We made up a couple patties to test, and what the heck, its breakfast time! This is our first ever batch of sausage and it turned out pretty darn good!

Ann Rule marathon!! I am so bummed we don't have TV. Of well we spent the day in town at the in-laws for Raymonds birthday lunch anyway. The cake turned out great and everyone liked it. It is super moist. Tell Colton Congrats on the letter.

Raymond seems to be feeling ok. The seizure meds make him a little sleepy but I am guessing that will go away with time. I am still waiting for the DR to call us back. Don't remember if I told you the DR 1 hour away decided we need to see one that is 4 hours away!!

Terrie congrats on your anniversary! I love Mexican food(and the Margaritas that go with it!) I hope you have a nice time and get some fancy snow boots!!

You will probably have the sausage done before we get there! Oh, Colton talked me into going out and picking up corn in the neighbor's field Saturday morning. It started raining. The further we got away from the truck, the harder it would get. We would head back and it would let up! Anyway, we kept hearing shots in the distance. I was like, well if I get shot, it will give us all an excuse to miss the baby shower!

We picked up quite a bit and spent the weekend shelling it for the chickens!

This made me laugh and totally sounds like something my hubby would talk me in to doing. More than a time or two I have muttered under my breath, "OK, but if we get shot you are in big trouble mister!

I bet your chickens are happy you risked your life though

Thanks, I am starving over here! I never eat breakfast and usually just snack in the mornings, but today I am hungry! I even had a wonderful supper of bbq pork ribs, mac and cheese and creamed corn. It just didn't hold out! Another hour and it will be lunch time. I am settling with salted soy nuts from the Amish store until then.

I let Thunder take a car ride with me yesterday to go pick up Destiny. It was a little over an hour so he was a happy dog. And he jumped out when we got home! Daddy still says no treats, but I have been slipping some to him anyway. He is not liking the cold weather at all though. He goes out, does his thing and right back in!

I feel bad that I don't spend as much time with Colton, but it is usually "hey mom, want to help me clean the chicken coop" or something that involves work. Uck. Of course I don't. But, I didn't want him to get shot and lay out there alone, so I went. The chickens better be happy! We fill a huge black tub with it and yesterday Bailey came in and jumped right in the middle and started chowing down! So, now we will have to share with the goats too. It was kinda fun and I do need to get out of the house more. And I do owe it to Colton, he does a lot for me. It was raining too much yesterday to go, so we will finish it at another time. The other fields we need to go to definitely has hunters, so that will wait a few weeks! Sadly, I would have rather been shot than go to the baby shower. On the up side, I did get to see some cousins and old friends I do enjoying talking to!

We had a heck of a time getting our deer this year. My FIL always gives us his, but he was unable to fill his tags. They just aren't around here like in the past. The season closed yesterday..................This morning we went together to take Raymond to the bus stop (beings his paranoid mother won't let him drive until we get this thing sorted out

) I look over not far in to the field, hey honey, aren't those deer? I think he wanted to

me!! There was a herd of 10 or so. I have always said that they have a calendar and they know when it is safe!!

I think its awesome that you spend time with Colton when you can. You know he appreciates you going to his games and such. He will always remember that stuff. I love my one on one time with Raymond too. He loves to play board or card games so I make a point of making time for that as often as I can. Yesterday he stayed in town late to play cards with his Grandma and Great Grandma! My MIL brought him home way after dark! He just loves it. He says they are funny to listen too. They are mother and daughter and the oldest is 87 and she is a hoot. Raymond likes to tell her jokes. Once in a while there is one I am not so sure he should share but hubby always says oh just let him tell it! Great Grandma just howls, and probably goes back to the home and repeats it!!

That is great that Raymond does that! Now that the weather is getting colder Colton will want to play games too. Occasionally he and Destiny will also talk me into Guitar Hero or Rock Band, but I am not good at that at all! I want to get the country rock band for Christmas, we already have the AC/DC one!

about the deer. My dad and uncle go every year and never get anything. Probably mostly because they sit in the truck and drink coffee and eat mom's date pinwheel cookies, but anyway, one year on the way home he hit a deer with his truck! We don't let him live that down. I think the deer are very smart animals!

Hello everyone!! I just read through everyone's posts! You guys make me laugh!!! It rained all day yesterday real hard. Gloomy and doomy here today too. Talked to my DH's cousin in St Joe and she said they have snow on the ground. Not far from you, Michelle! I thought of you when I heard Mizzou won. Sorry you missed it!! Chickenchick...it's real neat that Raymond like to hang with his grandmas! What neat stories they can tell him! I'm jealous! Didn't get any deer this weekend but have all week too so...we'll see! NY...glad you are finally back!! We need to keep an eye on these two. I believe they can sleep in the cabin and I will stay in the house behind the bolted door with you!!!!!
