You got a great deal on that rabbit hutch. Isn't it amazing what we get excited about for Christmas? I was so excited when I got my goat pen for Mother's Day!

None of us have ever met. I have talked to Terrie on the phone, but that is it. All we know about each other we learned in this thread. We are hoping to all get together one of these days. Charmed and I are just a few hours apart, but there are many more miles between the rest of us.

I agree Michelle, you had a good idea to discuss it with Raymond too (the baby idea). They would be so far apart that they wouldn't know each other much I'm afraid. It bothers me that my life didn't turn out the way I intended! I really thought I would have 2, close enough to have a sibling bond, but thats what my folks did and we never did bond.

We have discussed adoption as well. Kenny (hubby) is adopted and feels it would be giving back in a way. I agree but at the same time I loved being pregnant and always thought I would have another chance. Uggh! Enough of that baby talk. HOWEVER>>> I am SO happy for Terrie and Charmed. Baby's are wonderful!!

Jazzy I am so happy to "see" you coming back! I am also very jealous of all of you that had leftover turkey! We didn't have turkey. We did have a small amount of ham left over. I am not sure if Turkey is on my Aunts Christmas menu or not. I do have one in the freezer, I might just cook it for the heck of it.

OK OK now I have to ask-I am going to process like a 10lb chicken this weekend-what do I need to deep fry it? I have a huge pot do I add enough veggie oil in it to cover the bird and pop a lid on it-details details!!! can I cook the chicken the day I process or let it sit in brine for the night???

charmed--My camera is still sitting on the couch where I left it Sunday. I wasn't home last night, so I didn't even give it a thought. I will try my best to remember or even run home and get it because I want to take pics of us decorating the station this evening. And if you start that restaurant, I will be there my friend!!

chickenchick--It is a big decision, talk about it as a family. We are here to support you in whatever you decide. Destiny picked out an adorable newborn Mizzou outfit last night at Wal-Mart...

NY--I think it is better to let the chicken brine overnight. We have a big turkey fryer we use and we always inject with Italian dressing before cooking. Use a meat thermometer to see if it is done. Hubby is usually in charge, so I don't know any other details.

Charmed your restaurant idea made me hungry! I got my hair done yesterday. She had a last minute cancellation. I was thrilled to ditch the gray hair! Her hubby works with mine so there is always tons to talk about. She had a son later in life, they had twins and thought they were done! So I quiz her a bit on how they handle things. I am trying to finalize my menu for the goodie boxes this year. I always bake tons so I have enough to mail, give away and take to Christmas dinner. Also I have started Christmas cards.

Mocha decided to eat her coat! So that is what she is getting for Christmas. We ordered it yesterday! I wanted pink camo, but I couldn't find a warm enough one. So I picked snow camo. Also hubby got the outside lights up. We kept it pretty simple. He did such a sweet thing

I have some decorations that belonged to my Dad. Well Kenny bought all new lights and revamped them for me! They look beautiful and it is great to look out the window and see them! Makes me smile!

However, I do love my hairdresser and we always have tons to talk about too! Did she think it worked out well having kids so far apart? She ate her coat? Her and Thunder would be such good buddies!

I picked him up 5 more toys to ration out to him and mom got him 2 for Christmas. The coat sounds adorable! I need to take a pic of Thunder in his Santa suit.

We don't do outside lights anymore. Hubby used to be so good doing it for me, but one year Destiny's dog ate them off the house and garage! Another year we had him my FIL decorated his doghouse and he wouldn't go in after that. The dog darn near froze to death sitting outside looking at them! I miss that old dog! So, now we just have lights on the chicken run and put some on the guinea hut last year. Not sure how many more I can talk the boys into! But, I love looking at lights. I beg to just drive around and look at everyone's!

Destiny is working on a Christmas CD for us to listen to. I think we have ended up with over 50 songs and 3 discs!
