Ever feel lonely when you dont have any PM's waiting for you?

Thunder's hormones are getting the best of him right now. He has targeted Pocono (yes, he is male too) and taken Pocono as his boyfriend!

He is very protective of Pocono and gets aggressive if anyone tries to bother "his" cat. I had to literally hold him by his collar last night so he wouldn't attack hubby when he put the cat out. He barked, growled and tried to go after him. Sunday night hubby tripped over him and accidentally kicked him, so Thunder bit him and drew blood. They are in the same boat as Bruce/Raymond right now trying to make up and Daddy taking his cat last night didn't help matters any! So, last night if the we put the cat out, he would whine and bark to go out. If the cat was in he was constantly bothering him. Jumping on the couch (which he never does) or "jumping" on the cat. It was a circus and it seemed like I spent the entire night "Thunder, NO!" "Sit!" Strangely, Pocono didn't seem to mind at all and kept rubbing up against him, when he got tired of him he got on the back of the couch which prompted Romeo to follow! Poor Pocono is our old worn out black cat with a bum leg and horrible sneezing all the time. We let him in because we feel sorry for him, but he found himself on his bottom on the porch! I am hoping for a quieter evening tonight for American Idol!

I am glad I am not the only one who lives in a Zoo! Sometimes it seems like there is always someone in trouble. Get off the counter, get out of the garbage, who is eating out of the litter box again!!

Or my favorite, waking up to the sound of a cat puking on the bed

I hope Romeo

gives it a rest tonight so you can enjoy your show. I am so bummed we don't get it at all

I feel like I am missing out!

chickenchick,
I really hope Raymond and Bruce can make up. My son has had a few animals scared of him because he had accidents with them, luckily they were all cats. I agree with the idea of having Raymond give Bruce treats with you right there so that hopeful Bruce will remember that he's his buddy again.

Michelle,
I can't help but laugh at the image of Pocono and his lil boyfriend, lol. That's funnier than my roo's trying to mate with my guinea hens. Hopefully his hormones will chill some for you so he's not being so aggressive. Love the turtle pics, they are soo cute.

I think we all live in our own lil zoo's, I know I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm sorry you don't get AI we wouldn't get it either if we didn't have satellite. I' feeling better today, not sure how long that will last though cause i also smoked my, hopefully, last cigarette this morning. Amy is being really great, helping with the animals, etc... so that is helping. Ed is still down in Florida, I'll be sooo glad when he's home tomorrow. He's already got a shop list of stuff he has to get just before they get here, the van is outta gas so we're stranded. We do have a wonderful neighbor we can rely on though if there is any emergencies.

Oh yeah, a cat is so much worse because they NEVER forget stuff like that!

Dogs are so much more forgiving, especially if you offer food!

The odd thing about it all is, Pocono has never really ever been a friendly cat to us or dogs until the last few months. He has lost a lot of weight and his leg is getting worse and he can't tolerate the cold like he used to. When Thunder first came to live with us, he hated the cats, we had to really work with him to get along with them. Now Thunder's hormones are in overdrive and Pocono is loving all the attention he is getting from it

! Some days....

Quiet I am so glad your SO is going to be home soon. It is nice that you have some help there too. It sounds like you are enjoying having them around.

I hope you are all right and Bruce and Raymond can be friends again.

Tamalie Pie for supper tonight. I also baked Cranberry/orange muffins. Raymond has been asking for them. He will be happy to have something different for breakfast! "Eggs, again Mom?!"

Sounds wonderful! I am getting ready to head home and fix my chicken and rice! I started out the door and was reminded that I didn't do the birthday list today. It is normally Destiny's job, but since she stayed home today I told her I would do it for her and then I almost went off and forgot it.

I just got it typed and I am leaving before I think of something else! Have a good evening everyone!

The chicken and rice was wonderful! I served it with corn I had frozen from this summer.

Brrrr! You are cold this morning! It is in the lower 20s right now, high of 30 today. It is supposed to get cooler toward the end of the week, but luckily the nasty weather is going way south of us! Hubby had the house so warm last night that I had to sleep in my shorts and t-shirt and didn't climb under the covers until almost morning! It used to be the other way around, but now he is the one who is always cold. Thunder really likes it though, he was snoring so loud that I had to wake him up a few times to quiet him down. He was better last night, but we kept Pocono out.

How are Bruce and Raymond getting along? I was telling Destiny about it last night and she said "Mom did you give her the Supernanny dog speech?"
gig.gif
She also said to give it time as long as Raymond isn't in immediate danger. She agrees that food will solve just about anything with a dog!

charmed--How are things going at your daughter's house? We need an update!

jazzy--Still waiting to hear about your duck!

quietheart--Has Ed made it back yet?

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!!

Morning friends! I feel so out of touch from being gone since Thursday! Everyone has talked so much that I am not even trying to catch up! Had a great weekend scrap booking with my friends...the best part was waking up and knowing that I had absolutely NOTHING to take care of except myself! It is kind of weird though to think that there are people about who feel like that every day--dont think I could handle it! I guess taking care of stuff is part of my nature. Oh well...time to put on the broken zipper cover-alls and get to work! My day off...so much to be done! Terri O in WI where we are back into the deep freeze again--7F BRRRRR!

Terri O it sounds like you had a great weekend. I have thought about trying scrap booking, but it would probably be like the stamping thing. Although if I would have kept all of my stamping stuff I would have a start on the scrap booking! I am just not crafty. I would have an image in my head and it just never comes out that way.

Thunder snores too! Mocha snores awful! She looks like a lady but she belches, snores and farts like a, well a dog!

Things between Bruce and Raymond are not good. I thought if Raymond left for the weekend Bruce may forget by the time he returned. However Raymonds Dad won't be around this weekend. We will try to reintroduce them slowly with caution. Like you said we will give it some time before we do anything drastic. It is just scary to think he could attack him.

One of Raymonds friends is in the children's hospital in Washington. He had been having headaches and neck aches. Then he had numbness in his arms and legs. They found a tumor in his spine from the base of his neck down past the 5th vertebrae. He has been there since last friday. They have been trying to reduce the swelling so he can move without so much pain and also so they can do a biopsy. They fear it may be cancerous. The tumor board meets today and they hope to biopsy it tomorrow or friday. This is one of two boys that Raymond stays at his house. He is only 15. He has a wonderful step mom and Dad. The Dad flew with him and the SM is at home with her 3 small children. Please add him and his family to your prayers (if you do) and/or send healing, peaceful thoughts their way. Thanks
